FLAVORED SNOW CREAMS, ETC.

WHAT?!?!?

I know. I know. At first

I was like OMG!!

Then I thought about it.

Fruits, chocolate,

sprinkles…

Who am I to judge? But…

I mean if Baskin Robbins

can come up

with ONLY 31 flavors…

Why can’t I come up with

more? I have always

been a go getter so why stop

now???

When I was raising my 3 boys I had

a home made ice cream maker. We loved it.

We’d go outside in late afternoons and sit it up on

the picnic table and throw in the milk, sugar…

well I’ll just give you the recipe 🙂 and the directions. Check your ice cream maker’s instructions. They may be different than mine.

INGREDIENTS

Keep your eye out for my blog on making homemade vanilla extract

¾ cup white sugar

1 cup heavy whipping cream

2 ¼ cups milk

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Add WHATEVER other FLAVORS your little heart desires.

Directions

Step 1 Stir sugar, cream, and milk into a saucepan over low heat until sugar has dissolved. Heat just until mix is hot and a small ring of foam appears around the edge.

Step 2 Transfer cream mixture to a pourable container such as a large measuring cup. Stir in vanilla extract and chill mix thoroughly, at least 2 hours. (Overnight is best.)

Step 3 Pour cold ice cream mix into an ice cream maker, turn on the machine, and churn according to manufacturer’s directions, 20 to 25 minutes.

Step 4 When ice cream is softly frozen, serve immediately or place a piece of plastic wrap directly on the ice cream and place in freezer to harden per say, 2 to 3 hours.

What ideas can you think of? Whether you are making

snow cream in the dead of winter

or good creamy and delicious homemade

ice cream in the ice cream maker

in the heat of the summer. Have fun

and make lots of memories with

your kids or grandkids.

Don’t forget the nieces and nephews they like ice cream, too. Tell everyone to bring their flavors and toppings with them. How exiting is that? Make it a party!!!

Just make beautiful memories that people will want to remember about You.
